Oprah Winfrey said this about the power of gratitude. “Gratitude can transform any situation. It Alters your vibration, moving you from negative energy to positive. It’s the quickest, easiest, most powerful way to effect change in your life. This I know for sure. Several years ago, I began having a daily gratitude practice. What I do is write down on paper 3 things I’m grateful for and I also write down two things I’m grateful about myself.
This practice is about being thankful for the relationships you have such as, family, children, friends, colleagues, and spouse. It’s about being thankful for experiences and opportunities, or even simple pleasures like a beautiful sunset or a war, cup of tea.
Research has shown that practicing gratitude regularly can have numerous benefits for your mental and physical well-being. It can improve your mood, increase feelings of happiness and satisfaction, reduce stress and anxiety, enhance resilience, and even strengthen your relationships with others.
Incorporating the power of gratitude into your daily routine can lead to a more positive outlook on life and a greater sense of fulfillment. It’s a simple yet transformative practice that can have profound effects on your overall well-being.
How do you know if your practice is working? I can share my experience with you: At the grocery store people have allowed me to get ahead of them, someone bought a potato for me, people passing me by acknowledge my presence with a smile and a good morning or good afternoon. Me and my family went out for ice cream and a gentleman went ahead of us and bought our ice cream. Here are clues that you really aren’t in a place of gratitude: This happened to me: I was driving through a construction zone when one of the workers started swearing at me. I didn’t get angry, and I didn’t let it get to me. It was a reminder that I was in a place of negativity. If this happens, pause take a long deep breath and slowly exhale and know you are truly blessed.

“Wear gratitude like a cloak, and it will feed every corner of your life”
